An innovative system based on water pressure, applicable for any kind of boat (sailing and motor yachts, polyester, wood, steel and aluminum), which replaces the traditional bow thruster system, bringing significant benefits.
The Jet Thruster is a water pump system, which sucks in outside water through water inlet filters. Different pumps exist for boats of different dimensions.
Subsequently, the water is expelled through 2 or 4 nozzles (two for the bow thruster single system and four for the bow & stern thruster combi system) in a powerful jet, allowing the boat to be easily positioned perfectly.
The main benefit of this innovative system is the installation and the possibility to have a jet also at the stern just with one pump, getting this way the best maneuverability.
Other benefits of the system include virtually no resistance because of the aesthetically pleasing small outflow openings, flexible installation options and quiet operation due to the absence of cavitation. This makes installation easy and quick.
In difference to the traditional thrusters, the system works with the jet in as well as out of the water; for there is no propeller no cavitation is necessary and can be closer to the bow, giving more power to an equivalent traditional system. Moreover, the chance of damage is minimized and the Jet Thruster plays its part in safety on board and around the boat thanks to the absence of protruding and rotating parts.
You also have benefits regarding the consumptions: the cavitation of the traditional systems generates friction with the water during the navigation, increasing the fuel consumption and reducing the boat’s speed. The water jet system instead, does not create any friction with the water, optimizing the fuel consumption as well as the speed.
